There will be an optional mini-tournament on the first Wednesday of each month. The normal Wed fun pitch will still be held, the scores will simply be counted toward the mini-tournament also. The tournament winners will be determined by their total over-average scores for the three games. Rich Miles will manage the mini-tournament. The VHC Christmas dinner will be held 12/21/24 in the Paradise recreation center (the room by the kitchen). |
| CLUB SUMMARY |

North Villages Location: The Villages Paul Kanyuch memorial horseshoe facility is located in Lady Lake, FL, on Paradise Drive just east of US highway 441/27 (for details and directions, click on the directions link above). We have twelve clay courts with lots of shady oak trees. Restrooms and cold water are available at the horseshoe courts. The courts are open during daylight hours to Villages residents and guests. For most of the year, we hold NHPA-sanctioned league matches on Tuesdays, and non-sanctioned "open fun pitch" matches on Wednesdays. During fall and winter, we hold multi-county traveling league matches on Thursdays, and NHPA-sanctioned tournaments on the third or fourth Saturday of the month. Central Villages Location: At the Canal Street Recreation Center, on Monday mornings from 9:30 AM to 11 AM, pitchers that live near there meet for open play. The Canal Street facility has three sand courts. | TOURNAMENTS |

All Villages Horseshoe Club tournaments will start at: 9 AM (morning classes) and 1 PM (afternoon classes). Please sign in at least 30 minutes before start.
All classes will pitch 40 shoes (or more for tie-breakers).
A maximum of 42 players can enter each tournament. Please call early, the spots fill up fast; first-come, first-served!
ATTENTION
Your entry fee will not be refunded to you if you cancel after
4:00 PM two days prior to the tournament date, which is also when tournament sign-ups close. Exceptions will be
at the discretion of the tournament director.

Weather Cancellation Rule: Tuesday and Wednesday league matches will be cancelled if it's raining or the National Weather Service forecast wind chill for the start time of the league is 50 degrees or below. The weather forecast will be checked by the league director approximately two hours before the scheduled match start time. Such cancellations will be announced on this website and sent by email to the club members that have their email address in the Members list of this website.
